About the Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be part of the Conformance Department who are responsible for the following:
- Produce review and advise on Inspection and Test Plans submitted for approval.
- Health and safety reporting, using near miss forms and acting with positive intervention.
- Providing full cooperation and communication with project teams and the engineers.
- Inspection and reporting of welding, both in process inspection and final Inspection.
- Inspection on incoming materials, marking and reporting against required specification.
- Dimensional Inspection of machined components, both in process inspection and final inspection.
- Reporting of non-compliant products via company processes including paperwork and Epicor system.
- Monitor welding processes, incl. Qualification of welders, Heat Input, Material grade and tack up.
- Monitor inspection equipment calibration dates.
Training will be provided in the form of an individual development plan to the successful applicant to close gaps in the role responsibilities.
Work experience requirements
- Must have previous experience in quality control role and be able to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings and GD&T tolerances (preferably to BS EN 8888).
- Experience using word and excel.
- PCN level 2 in Dye Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle Inspection or CSWIP equivalent – (experience will be considered for ASNT - minimum 1 year)
- PCN level 2 Weld Inspector / or CSWIP equivalent.
- Recognised apprenticeship / or relevant engineering background

Shift Pattern
- Core working Hours: - 39hrs
- Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4:30pm
- Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
Flexible working hours for Quality Inspectors up to and in excess of 46hrs/week to suit business requirements, potential for night shift work and weekend.
Salary based position depending on experience and training required. £30,000 - £36,000/Annum.
