Quality & Insight
Manager
Salary: £36,000 - £43,000
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Flexible - Hybrid/Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Insight Manager to join our team.

As a Quality and Insight Manager, you will report directly to our new Director of Innovation and Development, managing a small Quality and Insights Team, helping to improve the lives of carers through your work.

The requirements of the role will be to;

  • Establish and implement a Quality Assurance Framework to show performance against Carers First’s quality objectives, standards and measures, and develop new quality standards across key areas of the charity’s work.
  • Further develop and lead on Carers First’s Impact and Evaluation Framework, evaluating the outcomes and impact of services and support programmes for carers.

  • Manage Carers First accreditation process for re-securing external accreditation marks.
  • Provide effective management and support and demonstrate the values and culture of Carers First.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in developing and implementing quality systems and measures within an organisation, experience in managing evaluation and impact, and a demonstrable knowledge of achieving compliance for external accreditations, such as ISO 9001. You will be passionate about delivering quality services that make a real difference in carers' lives; and will be creative as well as methodical in your approach.

There are some great development opportunities for the right person to shape this new role, with the chance to take a lead not only in the monitoring and analysis of quality management information; but to make a real difference through ensuring we have the best possible mechanisms for understanding our impact. As such you will be a critical player in helping Carers First deliver what really matters to carers.

We offer hybrid and remote working with occasional travel to Carers First locations, so being commutable to one of our office locations is desirable. In return, you will benefit from working for a charity that delivers a service which makes a real difference to people’s lives.

We offer training and development to help you grow your career, good annual leave entitlement, flexible working options, access to our work-place pension, employee assistance programme and a Benenden Healthcare package.

If you are interested in becoming part of our team and have the skills and experience, we are looking for and are passionate about making a real difference

Appointments are subject to Carers First receiving an appropriate disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service that we consider acceptable. We encourage and welcome applications regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or age.

If you would like to discuss this role confidentially, please contact us at [email protected] and we will be happy to organise for one of the Team to contact you.

Please note that if you have not been contacted within one week of submitting your full application, your application has not been successful.

About Carers First

There are currently 7 million unpaid carers in the UK, and that number is on the rise. Their huge contribution saves our economy £132 billion each year - the cost of a second NHS. Each carer’s needs and situation are as unique as they are, but many face similar challenges. They can struggle to balance employment, finances, or their own wellbeing and time for themselves with their caring role. They may not be aware of the help and support available to them - and that’s why we’re here.

Carers First is a charity that works directly with, and for, thousands of carers, providing personalised information and tailored support in the way that suits them: online, on the phone, or face to face in their local community.
Together for 250,000 carers

Last year, we reached over 165,000 carers (a 39% increase on the previous year. We have been able to make a material difference in carers’ lives as they faced so many challenges. As a result, carers tell us they feel less alone, have maximised their income and are managing better in their caring role, with 90% of carers saying there has been an improvement in their lives because of our support.

By 2024, we aim to have reached 250,000 carers to provide access to information, support and resources online, by phone, or face to face. Our services will be designed with carers, ensuring the support we offer is inclusive and accessible to all carers in different communities.
Join our team

When you join Carers First, you join a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive team who all have a shared interest in supporting unpaid carers to continue living their lives to the fullest, across the country.

This means that all of our team become the best that they can be, whilst helping others do the same.
