Job Description Summary
Drives quality throughout the change lifecycle working in a cross-disciplinary team. Undertakes & manages testing of more complex code changes across multiple types of testing to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise.

Understands the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and educates other change disciplines. Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team.

Participates in & establishes Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team.

Undertakes mentoring and coaching as well as additional leadership activities. Keen to deepen their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role.
Job Description
Quality Engineer – CS&E
Location: London based with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week
Salary & Benefits: £71,577.00 - £83,553.00 GBP base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the team
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Servicing and Engagement Platform where we are undertaking a series of colleague and customer journeys, aimed at improving the way we do business with our clients throughout the UK, providing better value to our relationships and increasing the productivity of our colleagues, thereby Helping Britain Prosper.
These journeys are being undertaken within a fast-moving, exciting Lab construct, whereby we land change iteratively and at pace through Agile working practices. The pace of change, innovative practices and the flexibility that this gives us, makes this a great team to join.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to join us as a Quality Engineer in one of our consumer servicing payments lab. As a highly experienced member of our wider Engineering team we expect that you to demonstrate and apply exemplary software engineering practices and skills in addition to mentoring our more junior team members.
You will be accountable for running and leading testing across our Monthly Release cycle, assuring the quality of delivery into these Releases and managing the raising of defects and backlog items for addressing either within the current Sprint or for prioritisation for future sprints. You will be working with a peer or reporting team of other Quality Engineers and will need to be thorough yet flexible as befits Agile delivery.
