The Boeing Company is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The Quality Engineer for this position will be supporting the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) department at the El Segundo facility. Their primary responsibility will be ensuring compliance of lab testing processes and procedures. The role requires conducting thorough evaluations to assess compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead root cause corrective action investigations, identify and implement improvements, while maintaining documentation and providing clear communication.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Mid-Level Quality Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation

  • Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements

  • Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities

  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

  • Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management

  • 1+ years of experience with Quality Engineering or Test Engineering

  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)

  • 1+ years of experience in statistical data analysis with statistical software

  • Experience using and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Experience applying audit standards, procedures, and techniques

  • Experience with process specification development

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range associate level: $78,200 – $105,800

Summary pay range mid-level: $94,350 – $127,650
