Adept Resourcing are proud to be working with a well-established company that is one of the largest specialist manufacturers in the UK. Due to recent growth my client is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join their highly skilled team. This role reports into the Quality Control Manager and will be responsible for overseeing health and safety and checking the standards of the products.
Responsibilities include:
- Check All area for faults
- Hot End Coating 2 times per shift
- Cold End Coating 2 times per shift
- Annealing checks using polarised strain viewer
- Capacity checks for MCB containers
- Pressure testing ( when required)
- Thermal shock testing ( when required)
· On line automatic inspection equipment verification 2 time per shift
· check UV coding equipment
· Review container quality on each line and liaise with cell leader and hot end operator regarding any outstanding corrective actions
· Glass wall thickness checks using Magna Mike.
· Taper checks using Shadowgraph
· Thread depth checks
· Internal bore checks
Additional checks if required
- Seed and Blister
- Transmittance
- Density
- Update lab records and distribute results of glass analysis
- Return used gauges and bottle samples
- Prepare bottle set up samples for issue to line at job change
- Hand gauge (go/no go) calibration
Additional Tasks
· Additional non routine inspection work as required
- Other reasonably requested duties within skill set
- Knowledge of the glass industry is required for fault identification and analysis of root cause.
- Knowledge of problem-solving methods, root cause analysis, data analysis and interpretation.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
- Experience in performing, interpreting and evaluating test results.
- Ability to organise and structure reports in a manner that is easily retrieved for review.
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the business.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team but with the wider teams of manufacturing, engineering and warehouse.
- Co-operation with other teams to collectively agree preventative corrective action plans and implement successfully
Qualifications
· GCSE’s are preferred in Maths, English and a science grade C or above
Additional Information
· Based in Rotherham, S60 1TZ
· £39,000 per annum (DOE)
This role will include rotationally shifts over a 3-week period, for example;
· 7 days on (days / afternoons/ nights) 2 days off
· 7 days on (days / afternoons/ nights) 2 days off
· 7 days on (days / afternoons/ nights) 10 days off
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £39,000.00 per year
