Quality and Laboratory Technician
Priorclave is looking to appoint a Quality and Technical Technician to independently coordinate activities within the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified laboratory. This role will be based onsite at our headquarters. Priorclave is an autoclave manufacturer based in Thamesmead London with 35 years’ experience in the industry. We design and build in house specialised equipment that is sold globally. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the customer service our field service engineers provide when servicing and calibrating autoclaves on customer sites.
We place a strong emphasis on client care and service quality and are UKAS-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard to provide temperature and time calibration / performance qualification services for laboratory autoclaves around the UK.
Key responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the laboratory working alongside the Quality Manager and Technical staff, performing technical calibration of temperature sensors, scheduling 6-monthly calibration of all laboratory equipment, ensuring availability of calibration equipment for a team of field service engineers.
You will contribute to the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. Ensuring documentation associated with quality systems, procedures and equipment calibrations are up to date.
Additional duties include:
· Organising audits of our field service engineers performing UKAS & traceable calibration of customers equipment on site.
· Processing calibration certificates and Performance Qualification Reports.
· Maintaining and developing documented uncertainty budgets.
· Recording and analysing large amounts of calibration data.
· Validation of calibration processes and reporting systems.
· Performing interlaboratory comparisons with comparable equipment.
· Responding to customer queries regarding the services we provide along with guidance and information relating to time and temperature tolerances.
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
· Ability to prioritise tasks; demonstrable organisational ability and meet deadlines.
· Have a strong attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills- ability to build relationships and engage teams.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft Office programs.
· Experience working in quality assurance within an accredited laboratory or similar.
· Understanding of thermodynamics, measurement uncertainty and tolerances.
· Temperature calibration experience and knowledge of requirements from ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is desirable.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
