Basic Salary: £70,253 pa

About the Role:
To meet the demands of our growing and existing railway, Arriva Rail London (ARL) are looking to recruit experienced drivers to join the team based at our New Cross Gate depot.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus
- Have a pro-active, ‘can do’ approach.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Be able to work early, late and night shifts, including weekends.
- To live within an hour of the New Cross Gate Depot
Applicants will be expected to sit computer-based exercises to support their application, followed by a Line Manager interview.

About You:
We are looking to recruit fully qualified and experienced Train Drivers who are highly committed, and customer focused. Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years’ continually productive main line train driving experience along with a good safety of the line record.
As an Arriva Rail London Train Driver, you primarily will work alone and be required to maintain high levels of concentration at all times whilst being willing to accept the responsibility associated with the role.
As a Train Driver, you don’t just drive our trains, you are the technical and operations specialists within our teams that deliver the highest standards of on-train service expected by our customers.
Priding ourselves on safety and customer service we are looking for individuals with an excellent safety record, solid train driving experience, a passion for the rail industry and delivering an on-time service for our passengers.
To do this successfully, you’ll need to be safety conscious and able to deal with pressurised situations and emergencies. But you’ll also be required to work as a team player, communicating with the Control function and delivering excellent customer service skills at all times.
The successful applicant will be able to work under pressure and react positively to unforeseen circumstances. In addition, applicants will also need to demonstrate:
