Anglia Plastics is situated in Biggleswade just off the A1 in Bedfordshire. We are part of the Oadby Plastics Group, which have branches and additional sister companies dotted all over the UK to provide our customers with the best service possible.
About the role as a Trainee Fabricator:
- Learn and understand fabrication techniques including Bending, Plastic Welding, Gluing and Drape Forming
- Manufacture bespoke goods to the required production standards and to a set schedule
- Learn to read and work from technical drawings
- To complete a training plan set out internally involving all aspects of plastic fabrication
- To assist current Fabricators with any labour demands in order to hit KPI’s and targets set by the business
- Operate a variety of machinery including Band Saws, Pillar Drills, Flame Polisher, Hand Tools, and Line Heaters
- Work with various plastic materials including Acrylic, PETG, Polycarbonate, PVC, Polypropylene, Polyethylene
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment which adheres to Health and Safety standards
What experience do you need to have:
- Must hold a GCSE in Maths or equivalent
- Must be able to demonstrate all round practical skills and ideally have experience of using hand tools
- A positive and self-motivated attitude towards learning new skills and training
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work well within a team
- Any Engineering or Carpentry experience would be highly advantageous, however not essential

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
