Job Insight
Responsible for completing 3PL’s quality procedures and quality manuals to meet the ISO 9001:2015 standard, for training out the same across all departments and performing internal audits to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of our quality management system. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our quality objectives are aligned with 3PL’s overall business strategy.

A can-do subject matter expert with the ability to drive quality assurance across the business by supporting, mentoring, training and openly transferring knowledge.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The primary focus of this role will be quality management however the list of duties below is not exhaustive.
- Implementation and maintenance of a business linked, version-controlled Quality Management System which is also aligned to the ISO9001:2015 standard. Ensure any future variations are applicable and subjected to strict document control.
- Championing the use of quality related methodologies and training of specific quality procedures.
- Providing quality related input to other business-related processes and procedural documents as and when required.
- Performing internal audits, using audit results to inform corrective action plans.
- Monitoring of nonconformities and supporting the business teams to perform timely investigation and work towards future prevention.
- Reviewing Client/Supplier Quality & Technical Agreements and providing subject matter input.
- Supporting business change programmes and projects from a quality control perspective and by demonstrating change control best practice to the stakeholders when required.
- Acting as the initial point of contact for certification bodies on all matters of accreditation / certification.
- Coordinating any specific audits requests made by certification bodies, Insurers, or clients and lead any external auditing of suppliers.
- Scheduling, hosting, and recording quality review meetings. Delivering quality specific briefings.
- Supporting all departmental teams to thoroughly investigate all types of non-conformances and to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Introducing and supporting continuous improvement practices across the business.
- Consulting and communicating changes related to quality to both staff and suppliers as appropriate.
Primary Outputs (Results Orientation)
Training - A comprehensive compliant training matrix (QMS)
Quality - Internal audit schedules (QS)
Quality - Zero major defects (QS)
Education and experience
- Previous experience in either a warehousing, manufacturing or distribution environment would be highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years direct quality management experience. Experience writing and enforcing quality procedures.
- A working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards.
- Excellent computer and MS Office skills (with emphasis on Excel/Word). Experience of Visio would also be advantageous.
- Ability to perform audits and generate the associated audit reports.
- To work on several priorities in parallel and still achieve agreed deadlines.
- Experience working with teams to perform Root Cause Analysis and to produce Corrective Action plans.
- Experience in writing procedures and work instructions in support of quality compliance.
