We are seeking a Video Tester for our streaming video teams working on ITVX. The Video teams ensure the playback services are fully live and performing to a high standard, looking at a roadmap of improving playback experience and quality on a continuous basis.
As a Video Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform by conducting testing across various devices and platforms.

Day-to-Day Outline:
- Conduct manual testing of the Streaming VOD platform across various devices and platforms, including mobile phones, tablets, web browsers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.
- Write, review and execute test cases to ensure the platform is functioning as expected, including edge cases and negative scenarios.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues as they arise, and work to ensure they are fixed in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform regression testing after every release to ensure existing functionality is not broken.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to identify and implement process improvements for the testing phase.
- Provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders on the status of testing, including issues and potential risks.
Skills You’ll Need (minimum role criteria):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing of web and mobile applications, preferably with experience in video streaming.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Trello or similar.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or similar.
- Experience with testing on various devices and platforms, including mobile phones, tablets, web browsers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Experience testing VOD and/or Live streaming web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of key streaming features such as DRM, encoding etc.
- Cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure etc).
- Awareness of backend processes/technologies that support VOD/Live streaming (transcoding, CDN’s etc)
