QA Engineer - ContentAgent Team
Location: Bristol, UK
Position Summary: An exciting opportunity to join our ContentAgent team - an industry leading tool for automating local and remote ingest and workflow management within the digital video industry. You will partner with a talented team of QA Engineers on both existing and new web-based products.
Responsibilities:
Running automated tests and interpreting results and presenting them
Creating and maintaining automated test scripts in C# and XML
Performing UI testing
Ensuring third party integrations are working correctly New feature usability testing Performing regression testing prior to new software release Performing Rest API testing Supporting with customer software issues, reproducing escalated issues experimenting with solutions and writing clear and concise reports in Jira cases. When fixes are made the solutions are re-tests and Jira updated accordingly Creating testing reports prior to new software releases Working with the VMWare server in the data centre, creating installation tests on clean OS images
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, Digital Technology or similar industry experience
Experience programming in C# and XML
Work experience in software quality assurance or customer support for desktop or web applications
Some knowledge of QA methodology and software development processes (Agile/Scrum)
Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
Innovative, analytical approach to solving complex test problems and performing troubleshooting
Experience in effectively reporting on product issues and test status information to improve product quality
Additional strengths:
Knowledge of digital audio and video/codecs and associated container metadata
Knowledge ofWindows and virtual OS environments.
Experience in software quality assurance or customer support for desktop or web applications
Use of Jira or similar issue tracking system
Familiarity with source code control (e.g. git) and CI / CD systems (e.g. TeamCity)
Experience with testing REST APIs (e.g. using PostMan)
Automation of QA processes (e.g. working with Selenium)
