Balfour Beatty Major Projects team have a fantastic opportunity for a QA/QC Inspector , based in Warrington.
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
As a QA/QC Inspector you will ensure that Quality Control for all areas of the BEP in the supply chain.
What you'll be doing
Other key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
- Support the Project Manager(s) in adopting a pragmatic approach to Inspection on all phases of the EPCC Project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, taking cognizance of schedule and budget constraints.
- Advise if duties are not covered by SQEP
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other project stakeholders
- Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement, from audits, NCR’s and surveillance visits
- Assist with the preparation, implementation and maintenance of the Project Integrated Management System.(IMS)
- Ensure compliance with legislation and any applicable site license conditions
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Vendor inspection experience essential
- CSWIP qualified Welding Inspector 3.1 or 3.2
- PCN II Qualified in LPI/MPI/RI
- Experienced within major Project delivery
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
