About the role
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will work across two contracts we have with the Department for Education (DfE) which are the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) and National Professional Qualifications (NPQ).
The person will oversee the work of education specialists with expertise in education management and practice, ensuring that feedback is clear, actionable and provides a clear indication of strengths and key areas for improvement.
Key Deliverables:
The QA Lead will work across two DfE contracts, per calendar year, according to the needs of each project.
To oversee the end-to-end Quality Assurance and review processes, this includes the development of QA guides, training, evidence submission, and review of submitted evidence as well as the preparation of high-quality, written reports.
Strong and effective cross-team working is evident, with productive and collaborative working relationships with internal (Business Support, reviewers, the NTP Senior QA Lead, NPQ QA Leads) and external (tutoring organisations, lead NPQ providers and DfE).
Drive for continuous improvement is evident in all areas of quality assurance, with the ability to incorporate feedback and learning.
To enhance and develop Tribal’s reputation as a high-quality provider of education improvement services.
To attend meetings and make meaningful contributions to enhance and develop each contract, including meetings with the NTP Senior QA Lead and meetings with both NTP and NPQ teams.
To report to the Senior QA Leads on each contract, responding to reasonable requests made by them.
The Person
Substantial, successful and recent educational leadership experience with a track record of delivering high quality results at a senior level
Experience of working with education frameworks and providing robust evidence to support these, including working knowledge of National Tutoring Programme (NTP) and National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) frameworks.
A secure understanding of safeguarding laws, policy and compliance is desirable
It is desirable to have the ability to effective managing and prioritise competing demands.
Enthusiasm for learning and teaching, and the ability to motivate others.
Ability to support the on-going training and professional development of reviewers, attending and facilitating virtual and in-person training for reviewers throughout the year (in-person training sessions are held at the Tribal office in Bristol).
Ability to effectively work with business support colleagues, ensuring that all administrative processes, submission deadlines, and QA reporting timelines are implemented effectively and to a high standard.
