QA Analyst – Sporting Group
Location: St Paul’s, London and hybrid
The Background
Sporting Group is one of the world’s leading names in sports betting technology and trading. The Group employs almost 300 staff, predominately at its central London HQ, and has two principal divisions, Sporting Index – a B2C operation, the pre-eminent sports spread betting company, and Sporting Solutions, a rapidly growing B2B operation which supplies real-time pricing and sports trading capabilities to sportsbooks around the globe.
The Role
- Analyse the requirements and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements in the software
- Configure the test environment to execute required test cases
- Conduct review meetings to share test case status, discuss concerns and risk items, drive comprehensive test coverage, and assure general team alignment
- Define, execute, and analyse test cases collaborating with the team to validate the achievement of acceptance criteria
- Track defects and bugs using the client defect tracking system, track resolution progress and validate resolutions once submitted
- Carefully document bugs and report back on findings
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including QA Lead and Scrum Master
- Work well under pressure with deadlines
- Display flexibility and proficiency in setting priorities
- Working experience in Scrum /Agile environment and participating in all agile ceremonies
- Proactive in communication within the QA and agile team
The Person
- Solid experience in software testing, including functional and regression testing
- Experience in Windows, iOS, and mobile apps
- Experience with responsiveness and cross-browser testing
- Multi-OS familiarity, including Windows, OS X, iOS, and Android
- Experience working with software development lifecycle tools, such as Jira, Test rail and X-ray (test case management)
- Experience with user acceptance and user experience testing
- Experience in bug verification testing
