We are an ambitious organisation, looking for equally ambitious and innovative Buyers to join our dynamic Nissan Purchasing team. Over the coming years, the Purchasing department will play a key role in delivering the Nissan EV36Zero program, supercharging the company's drive to carbon neutrality and establishing a new 360-degree solution for zero-emission motoring.

We have positions in Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) Cranfield which is the head office for Nissan’s Research & Development operations in Europe and also at our Sunderland manufacturing plant (NMUK). Working closely with Cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality and the renowned Sunderland plant production teams, you will have the opportunity to lead sourcing activities and manage cost-reduction activities for new and existing models.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Commodity Management of vehicles manufactured in NMUK - Qashqai, Juke and LEAF
• Identifying and delivering opportunities to reduce cost, including the benchmarking of Nissan and competitor vehicles to enhance the brand and reduce cost.
• Liaison with Global Alliance entities (Renault/Mitsubishi)
• Project Management

As well as being an established Purchasing professional, the following experience is essential to the role:

• Strong communication skills to facilitate building lasting/collaborative relationships across different cultures.
• You will be able to work to tight deadlines
• You can prioritise and manage your diverse workload
• Be a great team mate who can support others, and create a continuous learning culture
• Critically, you also absolutely must have a good sense of humour!
• We’d prefer if you have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and a driving licence is mandatory. Both local and international travel is required.
