We are the Market leading Tyre Wholesaler in the UK, who trades in the worldwide acquisition, storage and distribution of an extensive range of tyres. We started in 1990 and was located at small premises in Oldbury. The Company expanded to larger premises within the same vicinity, we are a forward thinking company with the main focus on growth. It has gained considerable recognition throughout the tyre industry for its excellence in the field. The Role
To assist the Lead Purchaser and provide support for the whole Purchasing department.
Your responsibilities will include, But not be limited to:
· Analysing Data to see what products are needed.
· Dealing with Suppliers, sourcing product at the best price.
· Maintaining relationships with Suppliers.
· Maintaining a schedule of re-ordering leading to an ideal stock situation, taking into account stock shortages and lead times.
· Managing Shipments incoming dealing with the necessary agents and departments.
· Dealing with Enquiries from the sales team efficiently.
· Creating purchaser orders.
· To liaise with the sales team about stock shortages and incoming deliveries.
· Processing Manufacturer Warranty claims in an efficient manner, maintaining good customer relations.
· Assisting the Purchasing department when needed.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a hardworking individual to join our small purchasing department, the ideal candidate should be/have:
· Preferably experienced in an office environment, Purchasing experience would be beneficial.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Good Numeracy skills.
· Experience and knowledge of Excel, an understanding of V-Look ups and Pivot Tables.
· Ability to work well in a team but also be proactive and self-sufficient and to be able to manage your time and workload
· Sage experience would be advantageous but not essential
· A willingness to progress and prove themselves
· A finance/business/admin qualification would be beneficial, either an A-level/ BTEC/ HNC/ HND/ Degree in any of the above areas, or any other relatable course.
