Job description
OVERVIEW: We’re looking for a full-time, enthusiastic and highly experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join our growing finance team. You will be working closely with our purchase ledger clerk as well as the rest of the finance team. The Purchase Ledger Manager will be responsible for making sure that the Purchase Ledger function runs efficiently, transactions are completed and accurately recorded and that any queries are resolved quickly.
ROLE: Purchase Ledger Manager
SALARY: £30,000-32,000 (DOE) + 30% bonus (paid quarterly)
REPORTING TO: Finance Manager
LOCATION: Ground Control – situated just behind Deansgate Train Station
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the full accounts payable process.
Full responsibility of creditors reconciliation.
Using our paperless system to post invoices into SAGE.
Manage and maintain supplier relationships
Review supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies
Handle supplier queries
Manage credit card statements bi-weekly
Payment and re-charge of expenses
Assist the Management Accountants with period end queries as required.
Complete payment runs twice a weekly.
Manage the new GigPig system and set up accurately for our performer payment runs.
Overall assistance in creating and improving current processes
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must have recent knowledge of working in a similar role and ideally, a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail!
Must come from a strong Purchase Ledger background and who is looking to continue their career in finance.
