Public Sector Management Consultant - London

Public Sector Management Consultant - London London, England

Efficio Consulting
Full Time London, England 50296 - 72009 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Description Efficio is in the process of significantly expanding its presence in the UK Public Sector as one of our key growth drivers. We are building on the outstanding reputation our consultants have built with public sector organisations and stakeholders during the last 2 years, including our central and critical role in the Vaccine Deployment Programme. We are looking for Management Consultants with both the experience and the desire to specialize in working with the Public Sector, to provide advice and hands-on delivery of key client programmes.

While the aim of this recruitment drive is to bolster our Public Sector team, we will continue to encourage consultants to gain experience in a range of industry sectors alongside their Public Sector focus. This will be supported by our collaborative culture and agile staffing practices.

When you join Efficio you will be based in the London office but may be required to be on client site up to four days a week, depending on project needs and the development over time of hybrid working practices in Efficio and our clients. Because of this flexibility to travel is essential.

Accountable to a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading specific workstreams on consulting and/or delivery projects. Depending on the nature of each engagement, your responsibilities could include:

  • Manage the collection and analysis of client data, contributing to the development of recommendations and solutions.

  • Plan and implement agreed strategies, ensuring targeted outcomes are achieved.

  • Provide support and guidance to more junior consultants on projects, ensuring Efficio methodologies and processes are followed.

  • Manage key relationships with client stakeholders, leveraging your sector and technical knowledge and expertise, and ensuring buy-in to the agreed strategies.

  • This role provides a unique opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to take their consulting career to the next level. We are looking for applicants who have:

  • An interest in working primarily in the different Public Sector sub-sectors and organisations.

  • Some pre-existing experience of working in the Public Sector (e.g. ways of working, regulations or business case approvals)

  • Confidence to challenge existing ways of working, recognise opportunities and identify innovative solutions that add real value to clients.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability, with the ability to isolate key issues and draw sound conclusions.

  • Strong grasp of detail and a ‘hands-on’ approach.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Talent, drive, and ambition to excel.

  • Essential Requirements

  • An exemplary academic background

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

  • Must have some relevant management consulting experience within a leading consultancy or possess transferable skills from industry experience (public sector experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments, both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Flexibility to travel

  • Desirable Requirements

  • Fluency in another European language (in addition to English)

  • Consulting experience within procurement and/or supply chain preferred
