An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Public Health team as a project officer, specialising in Substance Abuse; delivering projects and initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and help us to put public health at the heart of all public services.

About the role
We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual with proven project management experience, to lead on the delivery of key substance abuse projects. The post holder will work with minimal supervision, supported by the wider Public Health Team with emphasis on prevention, tackling health inequalities and reducing vulnerability.
You will work in partnership with both internal and external partners and our local population to improve health outcomes and make a positive difference to the lives of people in Wiltshire.
About You
You will have highly developed project management skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, lead and shape delivery within a specified time frame.
You will have the proven ability to interpret and analyse data, make informed decisions and have excellent report writing skills.
You should hold a first degree or qualification of equivalent academic ability; it would also be beneficial to have good working knowledge of Substance Abuse.

This role is based at Home and at Wiltshire Council County Hall in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. With working across our other hubs in Chippenham and Salisbury and widespread travel across Wiltshire.
