Solihull MBC are looking for two enthusiastic Information Analysts. We have a permanent vacancy available and a two year fixed term contract or secondment opportunity working within the Public Health Team.

In this varied and interesting role, you will provide input and advice into understanding the health needs of the population, addressing health inequalities, determining priorities for action, and contributing to an understanding of the wider determinates of health. You will need excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex public health intelligence to a wide range of audiences.

We welcome applications from recent graduates who have a degree in Public Health, Statistics or Data Science or possess significant relevant experience in data analysis. You will have the ability to undertake specific statistical analyses and present data to people from a variety of backgrounds. This is a great development opportunity for someone who is numerate and willing to learn.

This will be an exciting time to work in a dynamic environment with the opportunity to develop existing skills in a close-knit local authority team, influencing key decisions through the provision of robust intelligence and insight.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, to ensure that you meet the requirements of your customers, be able to work autonomously, and prioritise workload to meet conflicting deadlines.

We recently adopted our smarter ways of working model which recognises that work is about what you do and not where you go. As part of this, this role will involve working on a hybrid basis which includes a combination of working from home and from our offices in central Solihull. You will be willing to travel to the office at least one day per week and as and when needed in order to fulfil the needs of the service.

Job share and part time working would be considered for this role.
