Our client is a specialist engineering company due to growth they now require a Sales Project Estimator.
Job Specification
The Role
- As Sales Project Estimator you will play a key role in supporting new and existing clients, providing an important link between the internal sales team, project manager and clients.
- Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will work in a challenging and competitive environment.
- There is an expectation of visiting clients on an ongoing basis. Expected travel of up to 50% depending on business requirements.
- Full training to be provided to the successful candidate this will include full product knowledge training.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deploy marketing initiatives to support business strategy.
- Research and identify new business opportunities in given market area.
- Feedback market intelligence and client comments to assist sales strategy.
- Effective time management, organisational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Present company and services to a range of stakeholders.
- Site surveys to corroborate key project information.
- Organising and attending meetings.
- Work with Sales Manager to prepare timely monthly reports and quarterly pipeline forecasting.
- Full scope of sales cycle from start to finish.
The Person
- Proven BDM sales and/or project management experience.
- Ability to simultaneously work across multiple projects, dealing with varied technical areas, and to adapt to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment where priorities change in response to external needs.
- Strong documented working knowledge of and previous experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) CRM and other applications.
- Negotiation and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to maintain and develop client relationships.
- Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving not creating conflict.
- An understanding of NHS supply chain would be advantageous but not essential.
