External Relations
We are looking to appoint a Public Engagement Project Manager to help our researchers engage and involve communities in the world class research taking place across our institution. The post holder will work alongside colleagues and external partners to develop our practise, deliver inclusive events and communicate our ambition.
You will support the public engagement team in gaining recognition for public engagement activity across the University, capture and map engagement activities and contribute to reviews and reports. You will identify and address gaps in training provision, create online resources and share opportunities across all disciplines. You will contribute to our festivals strategy, manage a portfolio of events and evaluate the quality of our offer through consultation with staff and the public. You will be committed to civic engagement, aware of the importance of place and of maximising positive societal impact through research.
The role sits in the Institute for Policy and Engagement and is offered on a permanent basis. Hours are full time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
