Waldon Telecom, a part of M Group Services Telecoms Division, is an essential infrastructure services provider to the mobile telecommunication sector in the UK. We work on behalf of large mobile network operators to acquire, design, and construct mobile telecommunication base stations across the country.
Due to continued investment and forecast growth, we are looking for a Design Project Coordinator to be part of our industry leading mobile telecoms team in the UK.
What will you be doing?
Working within Operations, as a Design Project Coordinator you will assist the Delivery Management team with the co-ordination and administration of the network rollout activities of the Business.
Projects vary from adding new technologies to existing sites to the installation of new sites within a defined project, geographical area or UK wide.
You are likely to work from home or on a hybrid basis out of our West Byfleet, Surrey office or Diseworth Derby office. Occasional travel will be expected to attend team meetings when necessary.
What will your key responsibilities be?
- Working mainly within the Design team however you’ll occasionally need to liaise with Acquisition and Build where required to understand and assist with tracking all work, task and project assignments.
- Maintain document control, database management, track project activities and team communication.
- Uploading reports, drawings and associated documents to the internal server and client tools.
- Assisting the project team and team lead in strategic project meetings and follow up with meeting notes.
- Occasional participation on client calls to support the design lead on deliverables
- Scheduling project follow up meetings as needed.
- Developing and publishing communications to project stakeholders, this includes a breakdown of dependencies completed within month and costs associated.
- Developing and reviewing project status and reports.
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers, ensuring we have cost approval to complete design dependences
- Organising and coordinating both internal and external resources to attend MSVs, Trial Holes, Geotech’s, Structural and electrical Surveys (TM/PM and Plant where required) ensuring all requirements are captured, cancellations and re-arrangements logged and cascaded in a timely and efficient manner.
- Populating and maintaining the Departmental Delivery databases
- Creating and compiling milestone/progress reports from the database on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
- Creating and compiling management reports, update customer trackers and databases on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
- Ensuring that the weekly site rollout schedule is collated, and progress tracked given all known influences and the weekly reporting of the projects are both accurate and timely.
- Other administrative and support tasks that shall be required from time to time in support of the Delivery teams and the business objectives. (E.G. Stats, REC power ordering and delivery, RAMS).
