Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Southampton’s Public Engagement with Research unit (www.southampton.ac.uk/per). The post holder will be the lead member of the team delivering the day-to-day activity of the Public and Community Engagement Hubs as well as their longer-term development.
Since 2017, the Nature and Biodiversity Hub, the Health and Wellbeing Hub and the Future Cities (Southampton) Hub have built networks of people interested in the respective thematic areas across the Southampton region. The Hubs act as a bridge between university members (students, researchers and other staff) and the wider community: representatives of statutory, community and voluntary organisations and citizens. Student interns support the work of the Hubs.
The role is 2.5 days per week and the post-holder can elect their work pattern. Much of the work can be delivered remotely, but there will be meetings and events on Highfield Campus and in the city that require in-person attendance.
See the Job Description and Person Specification for further particulars.
