We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Psychology/Therapy Assistant to join an inpatient hospital team for adults with eating disorders in High Wycombe.

Together we will reflect on, explore and understand the patient's needs, helping them to develop the skills to build a new positive outlook, confidence and skills for a positive future. We will work through the process of creating a personal identity outside of their eating disorder as well as helping to build social networks within the community.
We are looking for a Psychology/Therapy Assistant who is passionate about helping us deliver an innovative and person-centred service to patients experiencing an Eating Disorder and significant psychosocial impairment due to eating disorder features. There are training opportunities available, scope to support with relevant research, service development (e.g. teaching and training in and across profession) and supervision opportunities.
The post forms part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Consultant Psychiatrist, Specialist Doctor, Nurses, HCAs, Occupational Therapist, Principal Clinical Psychologist & Therapy Service Lead, Psychology/Therapy Assistants, Social Worker and Dietitian.
Main duties of the job
To work within the therapy department and support and enhance the professional psychological and OT care to service users. To work and assist in the delivery of psychological services as directed, and under supervision. This will include the planning, implementation and evaluation of a range of therapeutic services to support the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of service users.
