Job description
The successful applicant will have a passion for delivering positive patient care to patients across our four specialist services wards. They will be based on one ward but expected to link in with other members of the Psychology Team to deliver hospital wide therapy programmes. This includes running groups with patients including psychological education and DBT informed groups.
The Assistant Psychologist will support the Clincial Psychologist in a wide range of therapy assessments designed to identify support patients need and then deliver the support required on an individual level.
The applicant will assist professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy and care plans in order to support the mental, Emotional, physical and social well-being of assigned clients, their carers and their families.
You will also assist with the planning, delivery and review of one-to-one and group therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions. More complex tasks, interventions or activities will be directed or supervised by a senior member of staff.
