We are looking to
recruit an effective, resilient and highly motivated individual to join our
Early Help teams across Hambleton and Richmondshire. Early Help is
part of North Yorkshire County Council’s Children & Families Service.
We
work alongside children, young people and their families up to the age of 19
(25 years when there is identified SEND needs). We are a consent-based service
focused on offering ‘the right support at the right time’.
Our
work is strength based and underpinned by our ‘Strength in Relationships’
practice model. We work alongside other relevant agencies to ensure that
we support families to create their own sustainable family plans that really
make a real difference to their lives.
The Children and
Families Worker role is to provide one to one support to children, young people
and their families, drawing on their strengths and helping them to build
supportive networks. Within this role, there is also an element of
statutory work for example working with children/young people missing from home
and those at risk of CSE/CCE.

extensive experience of working with children and young people as well as a
passion for making a difference then this role is for you.

It is important to highlight that due to the nature of the
job role, the post can occasionally include some evening and weekend work to
meet the needs of families.
Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to
this post and a Level 3 Qualification is required in a relevant field.
