As our current Assistant Psychologist is leaving us for a place on the Clinical Doctorate course we are now recruiting for a new person to join our passionate and enthusiastic psychology team within the Learning Disability Service.
We're looking for an experienced Assistant Psychologist to work across two Community Teams for Learning Disabilities, holding a key role in the assessment of dementia for older people with a Learning Disability.
The post holder will have good prior knowledge of services available for people with learning disabilities, and an excellent ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders; including service users, families, and other practitioners. The ideal candidate will also have excellent data management skills, prior experience of completing standardised assessments with people with learning disabilities, and a good track record of high quality report writing.
The post involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with plenty of opportunities for professional development.
