Residential Property Solicitor
Pepperells is a modern, ambitious and dynamic Law Firm with offices in Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Newcastle, York, Barton, London, Beverley, Willerby and Lincoln.
We specialise in many areas of law such as conveyancing, family, criminal, civil litigation, private client, commercial property and corporate law
As one of our Property Solicitors you will advise in relation to all aspects of the purchase and sale of residential properties. This includes both freehold and leasehold properties.
You will be required to support the team and also have responsibility for your own work load.
The successful applicant will have at least 2 years experience of property transactions however, this level identified is a guide only and does not preclude those with more or less who are applying for the role.

As one of our Property Lawyers, you will advise in relation to as aspects of freehold and leasehold residential property transactions.
As part of the team, you will be required to manage your own case load along with providing support to the Residential Property team and support the head of department in the growth and development of the department going forward.
The postholder will also be expected to procure business leads and seize upon marketing opportunities for promotion and sustained success of the department.
Responsibilities:
Ø Set the highest standards of client care and customer service.
Ø Provide the highest standard of legal advice
Ø Taking instructions from clients
Ø Drafting the necessary legal documents and contracts for each case
Ø Researching previous cases and relevant laws so as to provide accurate advice
Ø Communicate effectively with clients and opposing solicitors
Ø If necessary, represent clients in court
Ø Supervise trainee solicitors and paralegals (as may be appropriate)
Ø Manage calls from both new and existing clients.
Ø Report to the Head of the Property Department in relation to the performance of their duties.
Ø Facilitate the effective running of the department on a day to day basis.
Person Specification:
Ø Must be results driven, be highly adaptable and flexible, work comfortably in a fast paced and dynamic legal environment.
Ø Set the highest standard as a fee earner
Ø Exceptional drafting skills and demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Corporate sector.
Ø Develop and implement legal and commercially viable strategies for the business unit which align to the business objectives.
Ø Demonstrate creative talents and the ability to problem solve.
Ø Have the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Ø Must have excellent communication skills.
Ø Excellent time management and organisation skills.
Ø Be proactive and self-motivated.
Ø Excellent attention to detail
Qualification/Experience:
Ø Experience of working in a corporate capacity within a fast-paced fast evolving and dynamic environment.
Ø Must have at least 2 years relevant experience.
