Job description
We are seeking a full-time solicitor with lots of energy to assist in our busy commercial property department, which deals with transactions of both a local and national nature.
The ideal candidate will have several years post qualification experience under their belt, be technically competent in general commercial property work and able to hit the ground running with a varied caseload. Operating in the market town of Otley we have gained a good reputation amongst our larger counterparts in Leeds and beyond and in that regard are punching above our weight in terms of the calibre of work and clients we have been involved with.
The role would include commercial sales and purchases including portfolios, landlord and tenant work acting for both landlords and tenants and small business acquisitions and disposals. No following is necessary since help is required for our two commercial property partners who have a regular flow of work from a number of high net worth individuals and small businesses.
In addition to being able to demonstrate a good level of experience and legal competence, we are looking for somebody with personability and enthusiasm. An ability to establish a rapport with clients and contacts is essential as is an aptitude for hard work and a degree of hunger for success.
The role would particularly suit somebody who is attracted the combination of high value national transactions and our equally important local work and who is also able to throw themselves enthusiastically into marketing endeavours and contributing to our great links with the local business community here in the Wharfe Valley and also in Leeds and beyond.
