Job description

Due to expansion, United Pet food are now looking for an individual to offer assistance within the quality department, warehouse and undertake general yard & recycling duties

Key Duties:

. Creating and performing tests, identifying errors, and providing feedback to verify that products meet the specified quality requirements

. Complete paperwork / keeping computer entries up to date and ensuring that all paperwork relating to traceability and quality control is completed correctly

. Separating waste grades per department

. Operating baler machine to compress and bind recyclable items.

· Keeping production, warehouse and external areas clean and tidy

· Communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Supervisor and other departments.

· Ensure attention to detail and attention to safety at all times.

· Storing materials and goods correctly and safety at all times

. Work effectively and efficiently at all times

· Complete product paperwork and documentation correctly, clearly and accurately.

· Ensure that all completed pallets are labelled correctly and safely for shipping

· Ensure that the correct packaging and labelling is used

· Ensure that all stock (WIP, Finished Product or Packaging) is stored correctly in a tidy and safe manner with clear labelling at all times.

· Remove any defective products or materials, ensure they are clearly labelled and reported to the department supervisor.

· Ensure that you only operate equipment that you are trained on and you operate them in a safe manner at all times

· Assisting with stock taking.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • In common with all other personnel within United Pet Food, the Job Holder is required to adhere to the Company’s policies on Safety, Hygiene and good housekeeping.
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and that of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions;
  • To co-operate regarding any duty or requirement imposed on the company, or on any individual by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, so far as is necessary, to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with;
  • To report to their immediate manager any hazard which may be discovered at, or in the vicinity of, the place of work.

Health and Safety Duties

  • Maintaining H&S and hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations.

Requirements

Quality experience essential

Experience of FLT, Counter Balance and Reach

Attention to detail
