We have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager based in our Bolton office leading the Commercial Property Claims unit. The Claims teams are award winning, busy and dynamic and we have some really great people that are truly customer focused with a great sense of team spirit, striving to be the best they can be.
First and foremost, you'll be a leader of people and change. You'll be engaging and inspiring and we'll need you to elevate the success of our Commercial Property department to the next strategic achievements, building on our continuous improvement culture, all ensuring we achieve the right outcome for our customers and our people.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:
- Motivating and driving the performance of your people is critical, so you'll lead your Team Leaders to ensure we have the right culture in place to allow our people to flourish
- Contribute towards transformation plans, simplification delivery and identify opportunities for continuous improvement through actions that have tangible benefits for the organisation
- Working with key internal and external stakeholders will be crucial through maintaining relationships and indirectly supporting the wider AXA functions to attract new business and retain existing business
- Identifying and implementing process improvements & project management of local rollout
Qualifications

- Working knowledge from an Insurance Claims environment in either Retail or Commercial Insurance markets
- Property Claims knowledge would be an advantage
- Ops experience of managing a unit with circa 70 FTE is essential, leading and empowering through your Team Leaders
- Experienced in taking people on a journey with you, embedding best practice yet allowing innovation to thrive in a culture of continuous improvement
- Understanding of change management and continuous improvement through your people
- Understanding of the scale of the role, business environment and business strategy
- Skilled at developing and maintaining internal and external relationships and delivering customer satisfaction
- Adept at communication, report writing and presentations
- Growing and supporting talent within your teams
- Stakeholder management skills
