This opportunity is currently being offered on a fixed term contract basis until October 2025; however, if budgets allow the contract length may be extended and/or become permanent, though this is not guaranteed. We are currently recruiting for a Project Officer (Public Health) on a fixed term contract until October 2025. You will be required to provide a high level of support to the Senior Partnership Commissioners and the Partnership Commissioning Programme Lead in taking forward commissioning and contract management activity within the relevant portfolio area as directed.

To lead on contracting activity of commissioned services and associated time limited projects. Undertake the monitoring of contracted services and projects as directed to ensure the required outcomes, performance targets and savings targets are achieved.

Support the Senior Partnership Commissioners and Partnership Commissioning Programme Leads in undertaking practice research, assessment of need and demand data and financial analysis and arranging/coordinating patient/service user and provider engagement activity where required.

Ensure all programme plans, activity data, performance and savings data is regularly updated and maintained on the Programme Management System in a timely way.

Support the Senior Partnership Commissioners and Partnership Commissioning Programme Leads in proactively responding to day to day service requests, processing invoices and Individual Funding Requests, assist in the collation of ICB reporting requirements, coordinating strategic clinical group meetings and any other day-to-day activity as and when directed.

Support the quality assurance and compliance of contracts within the portfolio area.

Ensure that all commissioning activity is carried out in accordance with legislation, national guidelines, Medway Integrated Care Board and Medway Council’s policy and procedures and is applied using the principles of good practice including ethics and probity and take account of safeguarding policy and standards.
