Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our small practice admin team assisting with the smooth day to day running of the office, and to provide administrative support to the legal staff and practice manager. The role will be a hybrid home and office role however some ‘in office days’ are occasionally required at short notice. The successful candidate will report to and support the firm’s Partners and Practice Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up of new clients and conducting anti money laundering checks
- Promptly managing incoming and outgoing post
- Photocopying and scanning documents
- Preparing court bundles
- Archiving and maintaining archiving spreadsheet
- Ordering books and maintaining library spreadsheet
- Formatting and typing up documents
- Assisting marketing with contact database and ad hoc tasks
- Purchasing stationery and office supplies
- Assisting the practice manager with facilities and supplier tasks
- Liaising with external IT providers as required
- Answering telephones, relaying messages
- Covering reception, arranging meeting room bookings, greeting clients, arranging refreshments.
- Miscellaneous duties as required
Requirements include:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines, working accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work with some level of flexibility
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi task
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, friendly telephone manner
- Microsoft office experience
- Minimum GCSE’s in Maths and English
- Ability to work in small teams or independently
- High level of numeracy and literacy
- At least one years experience working in a legal or professional services environment
- Close proximity or easily commutable distance to our office in SE1 would be advantageous

This position is full time Monday to Friday commencing early January 2023 with an annual salary circa £26000 depending on prior experience. Due to the high number of applications we receive, unfortunately we will not be able to respond to all applicants.
