Health, Wellbeing and Social Care tutors
We are looking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced tutors to deliver on our distance learning programmes, with opportunities to also deliver classroom-based provision and workforce development workshops. Multiple posts are available. The advert may be closed early if the vacancies are filled.
Skills & Learning Adult Community Education offer a range of vocational qualification courses, including level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications delivered through an online learning platform. We have a range of opportunities available. We are looking for tutors who have a background in health and social care, care of the elderly and dementia patients, mental health, or any of the professions allied to medicine such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. In addition, we offer some courses in nutrition and health so we would be interested in hearing from anyone with qualifications in this field. We are also looking for tutors who have experience working with those with autism, people with learning difficulties, or individuals exhibiting distressed behaviours. You may have experience working in a behaviour support unit or be working as a teacher in a mainstream school.

Learners can enrol on courses at any time in the year. All Distance Tutors work from home at times that suit them. Tutors are allocated a specific number of hours for the support and assessment of each learner. Support is available for learners who have a specific learning need. There is an online platform for course delivery and assessment and full training will be given.
You will need to have a teaching qualification or certificate. Tutors are expected to adhere to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers developed by the Education and Training Foundation.
Successful candidates will join a teaching and learning team of some 200 staff. Most of the team are part-time and report to, and are supported by, a designated Assistant Curriculum Manager or Business & Outreach Officer.
