The Role:
Due to continued expansion in analytical capabilities, Fendercare are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our strategic team, with the chance to work on exciting and complex projects for the global business. This role will have a core responsibility to deliver impactful strategic planning, give insight on market outlook and report implementation. A successful candidate will provide support with market analysis, reporting and other general documentation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
You will utilise your analytical skills, deep understanding of data analysis and insight to provide clear, effective recommendations for strategies to help achieve company objectives.
You will be able to provide insight by studying data, researching trends and competitors to identify areas of opportunity and weakness.
- Monitor and analyse market share with current ship-to-ship bases and new areas of opportunity.
- Support the division in developing and growing new STS locations and markets with strategic and market analysis.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of all internal reporting to support winning and growing the business.
- Take a lead on disseminating key market information throughout the division internally.
- To provide data analysis and research skills across the business wherever required.
- Manage and maintain market datasets that feed into core market share reports.
- Support the delivery of the strategic marketing plans
- Support the delivery of Strategy Documents / Customer Strategies / Ad-hoc analysis
- Improve reporting throughout all James Fisher Fendercare research streams.
- Provide recommendations on data ‘Best practice’ in storing and processing data.
Support the business with:
- Market research and trends
- Competitor analysis
- Value propositions and USP’s
- Performance, KPI’s, market share
You will also need to maintain a current knowledge of applicable industry regulations and guidelines to steer the business towards continued compliance.
Ensure compliance with company SHEQ policies and procedures and undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required
The Person:
Be personally energetic, dynamic, positive, and enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision making.
You will have excellent communication skills to aid reporting to management teams.
Skills & Experience:
Experience from within a Data Analyst role is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of use of business intelligence packages or statistical computing software i.e., PowerBi, Qliksense, R, Python etc, would be desirable but not essential.
Due to the office location which is quite rural (Around 12 miles from Norwich), it would ideally need someone from the local area who is able to commute and has a driving licence.
