23 Month Fixed Term Contract
37 Hours per Week
The Project Officer (Equality Diversity and Inclusion) will support development and implementation of projects and programmes aligned to the Improving Equality Outcomes Board including strategic and operational priorities with a specific focus on equality, diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will have:
- experience of delivering outcomes in a pressurised environment where change is a constant feature,
- confidence, diplomacy, tact and persuasiveness skills when dealing with a wide range of people,
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to tailor content and style to a wide variety of audiences,
- the ability to undertake research and benchmarking and identify ways to improve performance and service delivery,
- knowledge of the principles of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty,
- experience of working across organisational boundaries in a programme/project environment, and,
- a proven ability to engage and build relationships with key personnel at all levels, support projects from initiation to completion, and, operate project management systems to provide appropriate management information in respect of programme, quality, budget and risk.

Those who prefer unspoilt countryside will enjoy our 2 nature reserves – Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve and Thameside Nature Park – along with many other open parks and woodlands.
