Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract based in our Stepps office.

As a Project Manager you will be part of our Clean Water Major Projects Team. Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of clean water projects.

Caledonia Water Alliance (a partnership between Aecom and Morrison Water Services to support the delivery of the Scottish Water Capital Investment programme) are responsible for delivery of the water infrastructure programme across the whole of Scotland.

As a Project Manager your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Running a portfolio of projects
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to understand project LBE/target
  • Carry out cost/monthly forecasting and expenditure through project life cycle
  • Project management of the principal subcontracts
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions
  • Develop strong relationships with the SW & CWA management team
  • Deliver projects to meet key milestones reported to SW
  • Ensure design is progressed to support programme requirements
  • Ensure resources are identified, sourced & available for delivery of the projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with the wider functions to support projects delivery
  • Meet SW & CWA investment targets
  • Ensure defects are identified, recorded and closed off timeously
  • Lead incident investigations in conjunction with SHEQ
  • Set productivity stretch targets with delivery management teams
  • Maximise programme opportunities to reduce time on site

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in construction management or engineering
  • Water industry experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven track record in managing construction teams and front line managers
  • Proven track record in delivering efficiency savings
  • Proven stakeholder and customer management skills
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and prioritise work efficiently
  • Appreciation of health and safety legislation
