Job description

We are currently recruiting a Project Manager based in Kilburn.

Champion and implement effective project delivery for projects within the HR 2022/23 Business Plan
  • Manage communication and engagement with project stakeholders, developing and maintaining relationships and working in partnership to resolve problems within defined project boundaries
  • Provide overall direction and leadership for the project delivery team
  • Build and sustain capacity and capability within the project teams to deliver benefits as stated in the Project Brief and Mandate documents
  • Manage project team resources, ensuring they are tasked effectively to deliver defined outcomes.


Specific Project Management Competencies
  • Able to lead a complex digital project, including set-up, management and delivery, ensuring that the project delivers to time, cost and quality and meets all HR processes, standards and reporting requirements
  • Create detailed end-to-end processes maps and workflows which are required to deliver the agreed model.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities and improvements for the project, savings, hand-offs and dependencies across strands.
  • Describe the actions, processes, and other technical conditions that the project needs to meet and to describe any condition or criteria to validate the successful completion of a deliverable
  • Co-ordinate SME input and capture all requirements.
  • Test the requirements to gain clarity on whether or not they are feasible in terms of time, quality, resources, and budget
  • Reporting to all stakeholders and sponsors to provide a regular and timely update on the project’s status in terms of time, budget, scope, and benefits
  • Manage the logistics for socialisation and piloting the new performance approach i.e. workshops, interviews, meetings
  • Co-ordinate the project, project governance and its interdependencies, working closely with other HR project managers and key stakeholders.


General Project Management Competencies
  • Identify, manage and resolve risks, track and manage costs and benefits, provide reports as required, and ensure all outputs meet agreed standards
  • Identify, understand and manage all project related dependencies
  • Own all project management products
  • Identify resource requirements and undertake related activities
  • Manage stakeholder communications and key messages for the project
  • Manage project level resource to ensure project outputs are deliver to time, cost and quality
  • Planning digital campaigns from the initial stages through to final delivery
  • Acting as the key contact for clients
  • Continuously assessing working methods and processes and making recommendations for improvements to technical problems
  • Identifying and implementing KPIs and project milestones
  • Reviewing project resources and providing an analysis on whether they meet the demands of the project
  • Ensuring key Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Effectively Manage 3rd Party Vendors


The role leads and manages:
  • The people working on their projects, including any assistant project managers, to:
  • Provide quality outputs to time, quality and cost, that enable programmes to achieve their outcomes
  • Ensure that all staff on their projects develop their expertise to a world-class standard
  • Allocate and prioritise project resources to the overall benefit of the portfolio
  • Contractors within their area to meet changing resource requirements across the projects, ensuring quality of output and value for money


Qualifications:
  • Recognised qualifications in programme or project management Experience
  • Significant experience in delivering technical projects, particularly systems implementation
  • Significant experience of senior management within a complex change portfolio
  • Significant experience or working in a complex PMO or Portfolio Office environment
  • Experience in delivering non-technical projects
  • Experience of influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to director-level stakeholders
  • Experience of resolving and escalating risks, issues and conflicts as necessary within a complex change portfolio
  • Experience of managing suppliers and contractors, assuring quality and ensuring value for money
  • Experience of managing a team, setting a collaborative culture, building capability and creating an environment of continuous learning
  • Experience of managing complex programmes and projects
  • (Beneficial) Experience of delivering projects in a HR environment
