Job Overview:
Global Functions Technology (GFT) delivers innovative technology solutions and key global platforms for Citi’s Global Functions division. These solutions enable Citi to comply with regulatory mandates and empower our businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi’s strategic architecture and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controls.
Tracking & Managing reduction of End User Computing (EUC) would be one of the primary responsibilities of the job role.
This role requires a seasoned professional who would apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. One who Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. The role requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. This role requires the candidate to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. It requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritise and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. You will regularly assume informal/formal leadership role within teams, get involved in coaching and training of new recruits. You will be able to make significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialisation.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder management across multiple geographies and functions, as well as demonstrated ability to build a strong collaborative relationship that culminate in a delivery track record.
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations during the path of EUC reduction.
- Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
- Having regular meetings with stakeholders and get necessary assistance to ensure overall EUC reduction program stays on track.
- Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Deep dive in to issues faced by team and provide reasonable solutions.
- Help in getting different reporting view/s reports prepared for different stakeholders.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and team members.
- Oversee all technology components of diverse, moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality and quality and cost.
- Coordinate activities of the project team, identifies necessary resources and develops schedules to meet completion deadlines.
- Verify project team adherence to control and risk implementations as well as standards and process changes.
- Determine scope and impact of program risks and issues; raises and resolves issues.
- Apply good understanding of concepts and procedures within own IT project leadership area to resolve issues.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Directly impact the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations and contribute to formulation of standards and strategies for own area and other functional areas.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a project management role, ideally from an IT/technical background.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
- Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques, to synthesise and present complex information to stakeholders of various levels.
