HCS Ophthalmology EPR - Project Manger
Estimated Start Date: ASAP
End date: 3 months initial award with a view to extend for potentially 18 months in total (depending on performance at review)
Location: Ideally Jersey based as significant need to engage stakeholders, but there is possibility of remote working.
Assignments:
Electronic Patient Record for Ophthalmology, digitised patient’s medical record for the Ophthalmology Department. Will involve implementation of an industry standard EPR solution, integration, and amalgamation of existing patient records both electronic and paper based.
Activities to include:
- Discovery activities to establish requirements.
- Development of the business case in line with government processes adhering to the CPMO framework.
- Manage the procurement process.
- Co-ordinate business and system architecture and delivery of a solution.
- Manage delivery through to completion.
Deliverables (including but not limited to):
- Responsibility for the production of all mandated project artefacts.
- Specific outputs as defined by the project stakeholders and sponsors including but not limited to:
o Outline and detailed requirement capture and documenting
o Technical audits and capture of “As Is” positions
o Process mapping, optimisation and/or design.
o Technical roll out plans
o Task Plans
o Project plans
o Service readiness and transition for new products
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Deliver the projects to time, cost, and quality on behalf of the project sponsors.
- To run the project on a day-to-day basis and act as a link to external suppliers
- Task management and co-ordination with assigned teams (internal and external).
- Management of external suppliers for implementation work
- Management of multiple stakeholder groups and impacted departments.
- Execute project processes in alignment with GoJ Deliver framework
- Management of project risks and issues.
- Production and maintenance of appropriate project plans.
- To be responsible for project reporting as required.
- Management of dependencies with other projects and programmes.
- Compliance with project governance deliverables as required.
- Management of, and communication with Stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Ability to conduct technical analysis
- Requirements documentation and traceability
- Excellent proven planning skills
- Strong project leadership skills
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
- Strong background of managing full cycle business change from design through to operational enablement.
- Experience of managing projects requiring infrastructure refresh and deployments.
- Some experience of operating with Public Sector and in particular Health Care would be advantageous but not essential.
