Job description

The role is a key part of supporting the Estates and Facilities team and Finance team. The role offers opportunities for personal and career development, as well as supporting the planned improvements in patient care and working lives of staff that have been identified at Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust.

To provide comprehensive, responsive, efficient, and effective support to one (or two) Executive Director(s). This will include diary coordination, administrative support, preparing and coordinating briefings, taking minutes, drafting correspondence and reports, planning and supporting projects.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills to assist in being able to respond professionally to enquiries both internal and external to the organisation, have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to develop effective relationships with a wide range of staff and key stakeholders. You will be able to deal tactfully with issues of a sensitive nature. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Work autonomously, exercising judgement and initiative on behalf of the Executive Director(s) in providing the full range of Executive Assistant support.
  • Proactively manage the Executive Director(s) diaries, communications, and workflow, initiating and taking action independently, bringing urgent matters to their attention, solving problems independently and using own initiative.
  • Lead on tasks and projects assigned by the Executive Director(s), ensuring they are planned, managed, and delivered effectively.
  • Prepare agendas for meetings, take formal minutes, and circulate actions from minutes as required.
The Estates & Facilities Directorate provides a full range of strategic and operational, hard and soft FM services to Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust (BEHMHT). BEHMHT currently delivers mental health services from a diverse property portfolio of freehold and leasehold premises consisting of St. Ann’s Hospital in the Borough of Haringey, Chase Farm Hospital in the Borough of Enfield, Barnet General Hospital and Edgware Hospital in the Borough of Barnet and from various community premises located throughout these boroughs.
