Project Manager - Global Logistics Services
Programme Name: LCST

Role Overview:
Responsible for the delivery of projects accepted in to the programme through the LCS(T) commissioning process, ranging from the provision of support to large scale military deployments through to bespoke tasks in support of special projects, incorporating domestic and international movements.
The role will require significant stakeholder engagement and assurance of key sub-contractor activity, off site travel within the UK will be required throughout the planning and execution phases of activity, with infrequent international travel also likely.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain global situational awareness of existing operations, exercises and large-scale deployments with the intent to assist the customer (DSCOM, PJHQ, FLCs, DE&S PTs) with movement support activity
- Provide front-end engagement/advice with the customer during the concept phase of planning to enable the development of a Statement of Requirement to commission new business
- Provide advice and assurance to the customer regarding movement activity during task execution
- Develop costed proposals for tailored movement solutions through co-ordination with the customer and Team Leidos sub-contractors, utilising the range of available scope of services
- Manage project plans, report on status and update schedules from proposal submission through to task completion
- Maintain positive relationship with the customer community to ensure high levels of satisfaction and the promotion of the LCS(T)
- Maintain awareness of the commercial movement market to anticipate and mitigate against challenges to service delivery
- Assist the GLS Senior Manager with wider business deliverables

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
