Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a challenging role within a highly effective team? If so, we have the ideal role for you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join Corporate Property. You will be helping to deliver the Council's office rationalisation programme for Lincolnshire County Council.
You will be an experienced Project Manager working under the guidance of our Programme Manager and within a team of construction project managers. You will be managing specific projects and activities within the programme.
The programme is evolving rapidly and moving at pace, this means that you may be responsible for and contribute towards any of the following:
- The implementation of a new office design concept within a building based on the Lincoln campus or in our localities
- Working with IT colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of enabling technologies (e.g. MS TEAMS meeting rooms)
- Support in the identification, moving and installation of critical service infrastructure
- Decommissioning any office surplus office accommodation
- Working with Service Areas and Records Management to ensure that any buildings which are decommissioned are done so in compliance with Information Assurance guidelines.
- Delivering savings identified in the Medium Term Financial Plan through building closures, equally you will understand where potential on-costs need to be accounted for and taken into account.
We are looking for someone who is:
- An excellent stakeholder manager, knowing when to negotiate, escalate or compromise as necessary.
- Excellent at project planning, budget management and risk and issue management skills.
This is a high profile role and you will be adept at working under pressure with Senior Managers. The role is currently funded for 12 months, however it is anticipated that you will be needed beyond this period. Secondments are also welcome from existing LCC employees.
You will be joining a highly effective project delivery team which has a track record of delivering a number of highly complex, high profile projects and programmes. You will find the team warm and enthusiastic, all engaged in delivering real change for the people of Lincolnshire.
