Job description
Based at our Samlesbury facility near Preston, Lancashire, the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team at AMRC North West.
For this role, you will have experience working as a Project Manager, ideally in an software engineering and client-facing environment. It is essential that you are able to communicate and motivate a team of staff and have excellent communication skills. You will use your ability to organise resources and attention to detail to aid with the planning of projects to deadlines.
For this role, you will have:
- Experience of working in a Project Management role with direct line management experience.
- Strong communication skills allied with organisational ability and enthusiasm.
- The ability to discuss at any level the elements of a project including the status to partners, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Pragmatism and the ability to understand an issue from both your own organisation and the customers’ point of view.
