Outline of Role
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating strategic projects that are intended for completion through the SEC and any external facilities when deemed necessary. The role will involve gaining client and internal stakeholder support in the successful delivery of both operational and transactional projects, whilst supporting the overall operation with Data sets and management information packs.
Main responsibilities
- End to end governance of all project activity processed through the main facility and other facilities facing into internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing data and key updates based on the client requirements detailed and on time.
- Support the operational team.
- Develop client briefs into workable project profiles.
- Form scoping documents and specifications.
- Programming and phasing of projects.
- Leading and managing project meetings
- Ensuring all projects are delivered to exacting standards, on time and in budget.
- Weekly Data analysis and reporting on KPI’s and SLA’s
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) analysis and reporting
- Monthly Client Presentation packs
- Leadership – help in leading and develop project teams – show leadership qualities.
- Profitability – always aiming to deliver within budget and looking at ways to increase/improve the ways of working.
- Always aiming to deliver within budget margins. Ensuring cost plans/orders are accurate and produced on time.
- H&S – ensure company policies and standards are maintained.
- Quality – always looking to deliver a “right first time” approach – aiming to get to a defect free handover.
- Innovation – look to ensure we are market leaders developing our processes
Knowledge/experience required
- A background in defining and managing projects using a disciplined and methodical approach.
- Experience in a fast paced, highly demanding customer centred environment.
- Proven track record of project delivery in operational and transactional environments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to influence both client and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to perform in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills
- Use of Microsoft Office programmes
- Time and workload management
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Work under pressure to deadlines
- Ability to work on your own initiative and to keep to the clients’ timescales.
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent in project management related studies
