The SMA is a key contract for the operational phase of the offshore windfarm. The main purpose of the Project Manager role is to provide technical support during the negotiation phase of the SMA with the wind turbine supplier, with a focus on the technical schedules.


This includes organisational tasks, drafting technical schedules, get a competitive binding offer for an accurate OPEX forecast and development of the strategy for logistics.


Lead the interfaces between WTG team, O&M readiness team and internal O&M departments. Lead workshops and status meetings with the project team, track progress and manage any deviations from plan.


Interface with project contracts team to document and communicate any amendments impacting operations

What you’ll be doing


The primary objective of the role is to support the EAHUB O&M readiness team in preparing the project for the commencement of site operations by managing the complex multidisciplinary interfaces.


  • Ensure that project requirements are developed with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
  • Assist the Lead Project Manager SMA in the negotiation of the WTG SMA, focused on the technical requirements
  • Assist the Lead Project Manager SMA in the organisation of negotiation meetings with the WTG Supplier, follow up of actions, ensuring all milestones are met
  • Leading the updating and re-drafting of SMA technical schedules, including the identification of issues with highest risk for SPR and/or items for escalation
  • Supporting development of the overall project O&M strategy
  • Gather lessons learned from other operational projects and implement where appropriate to ensure continuous improvement within offshore operations and maintenance.
  • Identify, assess and recommend mitigations for readiness risks and raise these to the relevant O&M contact.


In addition to the tasks outline above the individual shall also be required to carry out typical project management activities such as reporting, planning, risk management and resource management

What you’ll bring


  • Degree qualification in Engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of Offshore Wind Operations and Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of WTG technical details
  • Experience on marine operations, including repair activities, carried out on DP vessels and Jack-up.
  • Good understanding of current CDM and H&S legislation applicable to offshore operations and electrical generation in the UK sector.
  • Experience of managing complex interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations.
  • Experience of developing and managing project programmes
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding negotiation of multimillion commercial contracts.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environment and demonstrate a positive approach to change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially related to multicultural relationships.
