Job description
Rogers Civil Engineering Ltd was formed in 2012 and has experienced significant growth to become a multi-disciplined contractor specialising in civil engineering, reinstatement and utilities.
RCE Ltd are looking to recruit a pro-active, enthusiastic and experienced Site Civils Supervisor with experience in Utilities and/or EV Charging Station projects. They will have the ability to prioritise their workload and maintain a meticulous eye for detail.
The ideal supervisor candidate will be supported in the planning, coordinating, and implementing of various projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. Your role will be to provide supervision to our onsite teams responsible for installing new LV / HV electricity mains, substation and EV charging station construction.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for a number of allocated projects in various stages of the project life cycle.
- Liaise with the programming team to ensure labour is organised efficiently.
- Conduct pre site visits
- Carry out Risk assessments and method statement briefings for all site activities, inducting teams and subcontractors where necessary
- Supervise and motivate your team as an effective supervisor.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for materials, plant and equipment
- Make sure that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
- Conduct internal safety, plant and vehicle audits on site
- Report regularly on progress to the Head of Projects, highlighting any potential financial or delay issues on your projects.
- Carry out team safety briefings and toolbox talks
Skills Essential
- Experience of utilities sector is essential
- CDM experience is desirable
- Construction industry and process experience in one or more of the following areas: Gas, Water, Electric, EV Charging and/or Fibre Installations
- Experience of method statements and risk assessments including process improvement to develop safe systems of work
- High level of SHEQ awareness and leadership
- Excellent Communication and Organisational skills
- Logical thinking with creative problem solving ability
- Financial and Commercial Awareness
- Excellent team leadership skills required
Qualifications
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation
- SSSTS/ SMSTS Accreditation
- EUSR/ CSCS
- A valid Full UK driving licence
Salary - negotiable dependant on experience, qualifications etc.
This is a full time position, Monday to Friday with occasional requirement for out of hours / weekend work. Company vehicle provided.
