We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Project Manager to play a key role in delivering assigned parts of our projects successfully.

Responsibilities: As a Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a specific part of our overall project work scope while ensuring adherence to the agreed baseline. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering fit-for-purpose work safely, meeting or exceeding project baseline requirements for cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Utilising the Project Delivery Fundamentals and company practices effectively.
  • Developing and executing execution strategies and plans aligned with the project's overall strategies.
  • Identifying and managing/mitigating relevant project risks, including regular monitoring of residual risks.
  • Managing the quality, schedule, and cost for the Assistant project scope as per the agreed baseline.

Accountabilities: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be accountable to the Project Manager for the following:

  • Supporting the implementation and improved use of the Project Delivery Fundamentals within your delivery team.
  • Identifying, implementing, and complying with safety, environmental, and quality procedures, policies, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prioritising safety and quality to ensure that Nuclear Safety is never compromised during project delivery.
  • Maintaining effective communication and executing project strategies within your team.
  • Promptly identifying industrial relations and HR issues within your team.
  • Leading and coaching your team to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in delivering fit-for-purpose work safely, meeting or exceeding project baseline requirements.
  • Promoting and facilitating Learning from Experience (LFE) across all project stages.
  • Timely and accurately communicating your team's performance, issues/concerns, and risks.
  • Ensuring the competency of your team members through identifying and facilitating appropriate training and role assignment.
  • Working in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan.

Qualifications and Skills: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience in project management or Assistant project management.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching abilities to motivate and guide your team effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality regulations and compliance.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and manage project risks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic project environment.
