Project: We are seeking a Assistant Project Manager looking to further their career and be part of a high performing team in the Commercial sector to deliver a various workplace projects in the North.
This is a client-facing role involving developing the clients’ strategy, initial design, contractor appointment and contract management. In addition to supporting our client’s property objectives, the project includes social value creation, and people and skills development. Mace has an agile working approach with duties performed from home and Mace offices. Occasional travel will be required to project sites and Mace Hub offices. The roles are flexible and allow for full or part time working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting effective communication and liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that requirements are identified, assessed and appropriately integrated into the project.
- Working with the client and reporting to the project lead responsible for helping and supporting to establish the strategy for delivery of the project.
- Assisting in developing the client’s brief, delivery strategy and leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme.
- Working with and in support of a high performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
- Supporting the coordination, planning and management of internal and external meetings in relation to the project.
- Assisting the procurement of services and works required to deliver the project.
- Appreciating budgets, estimates and project costs.
- Providing input into client system safety and project risk assessment and management process.
- Appreciating the design process throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Supporting pre-contract design development and post-contract scope changes in an efficient manner.
- Appreciating risk management and able to support project teams to identify, schedule and establish mitigation strategy for project risks.
About you
You have a degree qualification in a relevant discipline and are either a member or are working towards becoming a member of a professional body institute such as RICS, CIOB or APM.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work well as part of a team. You will have experience of working within a consultancy environment, keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
